AMAZING CRAB FIESTA




The municipality of Lala is a vast plain within the Kapatagan Valley, consisting of 14,025 hectares. Composed of 27 barangays, it is the most progressive municipality of the province of Lanao del Norte, in terms of income. Lala became a regular municipality March 22, 1949 by virtue of Executive Order No. 208 issued by then President Elpidio Quirino.

Lala is the most densely populated municipality of the province due to the fast urbanizing barangay which is Maranding. Its population is largely rural, which is more or less 70% of total population. There is predominance of male and young population.

Its economy is agriculture and fishery based. Its major crops are rice, corn , coconut and aqua marine products from inland fishery and marine fishing in the Panguil Bay area..
