MANILA, Philippines – The super battle between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is unrealistic to happen in 2015, as indicated by a games examiner.
Sports reporter and Hardball games show host Bill Velasco thinks Mayweather, notwithstanding his declarations, is prone to hold off the superfight until 2016 in light of the fact that the American warrior is attempting to create a boxing record.
"Hindi sila maglalaban ni Floyd Mayweather one year from now. Tandaan natin, 18 taon nang inaalagaan ni Floyd Mayweather ang record niya, bakit? Dahil kelangan niyang talunin ang 49-0 ni Rocky Marciano," he said amid his talk with Boyet Sison, Freddie Webb and individual visitor Rick Olivares on DZMM's Fast Break throughout the weekend.
Marciano is the main individual to hold a world title and undefeated all through his vocation. He has been positioned by numerous boxing students of history as one of the best heavyweight boxers ever.
"Ngayon, 47-0 na si Mayweather. 'Yung kay Marciano, 8 taon lang far off. Kanya 18, ngayon dad n'ya isusugal kay Pacquiao?" said Velasco.
The expert feels Mayweather will hand pick two more rivals to tie Marciano's record and secure his spot among the legends of the game.
Velasco said that just after the brash American ties or surpass the record he will confront Pacquiao.
He refered to that boxing savants questioned that Mayweather will make it to the boxing lobby of distinction without a Pacquiao battle.
"Might mga ekperto na ring nangsabi na kelangan niyang labanan si Many Pacquiao, kasi pag hindi, baka hindi siya makapasok sa Hall of Fame dahil iniiwasan niya sa Manny Pacquiao," said Velasco.
